Drona Boys Hostel is run under the aegis of Northern Command to provide hostel facilities to the wards of Gujjar/Bakkarwal communities and wards of Veer Naris, ESM, serving JCOs/OR of militancy affected areas of J&K.

  • Objective.    The objective of the hostel is to inculcate a sense of discipline, make them responsible, self sufficient, understand value of education and feel the pride of being an Indian.
  • Capacity.    The hostel has a capacity of accommodating 40 children, 26 from OP Sadhbhavana and 14 from AWWA sponsored Category.
  • Drona Boys Hostel Committee Role.
    • Monitor upkeep & maintenance of Drona Boys Hostel.
    • Plan visit of dignitaries.
    • Organise counselling of Drona Boys Hostel students.
    • Plan & org Tuition Classes in consultation with APS.
    • Update parents regarding well being & academic performance of students.
    • Encourage & prepare students for competitive exams.
    • Organise extra co-curricular activities.
  • AWWA Priority of admission is as follows:-
    • Priority - I.     Wards of Veer Naris/Widows.
    • Priority - II.     Wards of JCOs/OR of militancy affected area.
    • Priority - III.     Ex - servicemen.
  • Activities include :-
    • Preparing for various competitive exams.
    • Tuition facility within Hostel Complex.
    • Career counselling by professionals.
    • Online Education.
    • Upgradation of sports and indoor games facilities.
    • Provision of new cup-boards.
