National Book Trust, India #NBT has announced that theme for the 33rd New Delhi World Book Fair (1-9 February 2025), is THE REPUBLIC@75: CELEBRATING 75 YEARS OF INDIA AS A REPUBLIC.
The theme would be projected to showcase how India’s Celebration of 75 years of being a Republic marks a significant milestone in its journey as a democratic nation. It indicates a commitment in safeguarding democratic institutions, and fostering sustainable development and also a reflection of its achievements and challenges. Also, how India has channeled her civilizational strengths and cultural diversity into opportunities for achievement, progress, and prosperity for its citizens, making it an inspiration for the rest of the world.
An exhibition of books in all Indian languages may be put up. Audio books to listen to the sounds/ accents of different languages may be put up to give an interactive feel to the visitors. A range of literary programmes woven around the theme may be organised.
