Funds donated will be deposited into Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Corpus Fund. The interest from the donated amount will be utilised for any/all the following causes:-
Ex Gratia Payment to the Next of Kin (NOK) of the deceased soldiers of Indian Army.
Empowerment of war widows, widows of battle causalities/physical casualties.
Empowerment and rehabilitation of specially-abled children.
Financial assistance to needy children of widows of ex-servicemen.
Hospital equipment and welfare of cancer and other terminally ill patients.
Education of children of Veer Naris and widows of personnels of Indian Army
Donations made to “Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Corpus Fund” New Delhi, are exempted from Income Tax under section 80-G (5) (VI) of the Income Tax Act 1961, subject to the limits & conditions prescribed in the said section vide their order No DIT (E) 2007-2008/A-247/2907 dt 14 Dec 2007.
