1. The Asha School, Jabalpur was initially started as a Day Care Centre on 01 December 1992 to look after the differently abled children of serving Armed Forces personnel, Ex Service- Men and Civil Defence Employees in the Station. On 16 August 1999, it was upgraded to a full-fledged school and re-designated as ASHA School with minimal staff and facilities. However, with time, the school has grown from strength to strength and today offers several facilities for the children with special needs. The main focus of the school is to enable mentally and physically challenged children to lead a self-capable and self-dependent life. The school is being administered under the aegis of Head Quarters Madhya Bharat Area by 2 Technical Training Regiment (1 Signal Training Centre).
2. The School is also recognized by The Firms and Society, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act 1973 (44) since 27 Feb 1998. The school is registered (online) under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) as ASHA AWWA KENDRA (Asha School) under DDRS (Deen Dayal Rehabilitation Scheme) since August 2014.
