Pune being one of the largest and oldest cantonment in India has a huge population of dependents of all service personnel. A dire need was felt to empower the families and dependents by providing them with various skills which would assist them in pursuing their interests & converting their passion into business. With the concept 'Women Empowerment Through Skill Development' at the heart, Protsahan was launched on 27 Dec 2015.
In July 2016, Protsahan was upgraded to an Army Skill Training Centre, under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). This was followed by upgradation of facilities based on National Skill Development Council (NSDC) guidelines and rigorous documentation for accreditation with respective to Sector Skill Council (SSC). The establishment was awarded 46 out of 50 points, making it one of the few five-star rated ASTCs in India.
FACILITIES & COURSES.
Protsahan has a wide variety of courses & supporting infrastructure which is being constantly upgraded & improved. Courses like Shringar, Paridhaan, Jagriti, Rasoi, Short Courses and Nursing Teacher Training encorage skill development of wards & dependents of serving soldiers & ESM.
