An aesthetic Raconteur is the way of life for the Army Wife. 

On behest of President AWWA, Mrs Veena Naravane, a brilliantly profound platform enveloped 17th of December 2021, the first day of the Literary Festival in the spiced-up lawns of the Taurus Officers Institute. 

Abhivyakti, an initiative by the First lady of the Indian Army   Mrs Veena Naravane, brought together members of AWWA from across the country truly reflecting the vivacious, vibrant spirit of the Army Wife.

Mrs Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Minister for Women and Child development graced the occasion with her benign presence as the Chief Guest.

The day began with a warm welcome by President AWWA, followed by an interesting interview with Mrs Smiriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Minister for Women and Child development. The chief guest kept everyone captivated with her humbleness and reverence as she acknowledged with deep gratitude the silent warrior behind the Soldier - the Army Wife. 

The proceedings for the day were spread over two venues.

Venue 1 witnessed an exchange of thoughts among different panelists highlighting the Impact of Childhood stories in ‘kya khoya kya paya’, followed by an enthralling discussion on Rediscovering the joy of reading in the digital age.

A quiz on literature trivia saw enthusiasm from all, including children of various ages who participated eagerly.

This was followed by an enriching panel voicing their thoughts about Hindi Sahitya Ki bebak Lekhikhayen. 

At Venue 1 the day wound up with a conversation with our charming authors Rachna Bisht and Neha Dwivedi who have penned down tales of real war heroes.

The second venue staged an interesting interactive workshop on authoring books for children by experts which had an equally involved audience.

The events of the first day concluded leaving totally satisfied keenly awaiting the dawn of the Second day as the fest continues to unfold more excitement.
