Brief on the Asha School

  1. A large section of our child population suffers from varying degrees of physical and mental disabilities.  In past, they lived on the pity and benevolence of the society. But with the advent of newer concepts in Special Education, these children can achieve fair degree of skills and even economical independence.  A large percentage of these children can live as self-sustaining dignified members of the society if given the right training and motivation to negate their disability.
  2. To provide special care/education to physically / mentally challenged children of service personnel, ex-servicemen as well as civilian of Allahabad station, ASHA School was established on 07 Oct 1992, under aegis of Red Eagle AWWA.  304 Fd Hosp has been given responsibility to run the school.
  3. ASHA School Allahabad is working with an objective of identifying the nature and cause of disability in the special children with a view to reduce the same to the extent possible and to train the child to make him/her self-reliant and useful member of the society.
